Reiki

I became interested in Reiki as a massage therapist learning and observing that each person has a different energy. I got my Reiki Level One attunement in 2011. My good friend Chris DeWick from Healing with Touch in Stonington is a Reiki Master so I got my Level Two attunement from her in 2014. In June of 2018, I became Reiki Master while attending a William Lee Rand workshop on Usui Holy Fire II in Glens Falls, NY.

Reiki is a holistic therapy which restores balance to the body and in turn reduces tension and stress. It allows the body to heal on all levels, physical, emotional and spiritual.  It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

Many people use Reiki for wellness. Reiki is not a cure for a disease or illness, but it may assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. Reiki is a great tool to use as a complement to traditional medicine and is practiced in many hospitals and medical care settings.

Client is fully clothed and my hands will intuitively touch the body or hover above the body during a session.

The positive, healthy traits Reiki is capable of developing within us include patience, love of self and others, non-competitiveness. It moves us into a place of acceptance of others’ ideas and beliefs and helps us to be non-judgmental, empowers our ability to forgive, develops gratitude for friends and family and for all we have and experience, improves the quality of joy and peace we experience and most importantly increases our connection to the Source of Reiki so that an ever stronger feeling of safety develops as Reiki more easily guides our lives and watches over all that we do.
